Christie Zablocki grew up on a farm and has always been an animal lover who supports The Humane Society.
Animal lover Christie Zablocki attributes her affinity to animals to having grown up on her family’s farms. She often spent more time with the animals than the rest of her family and was able to develop an understanding of not only their basic needs, but their personalities. Each animal became more of a family pet in her heart.
As an animal lover, Christie Zablocki seems to have developed a natural talent for raising all of these animals after spending so much time on farms started by her dad and grandfather. She would spend nearly everyday out on the farm learning new skills and spending time with the animals. Her experiences on her family’s farms has inspired her to start a small farm of her own. Christie is already an owner to a wide variety of animals and pets. Currently, she has:
- 2 Dogs
- 1 Cat
- 16 Chickens
- 8 Ducks
- 6 Guinea Fowl
- 2 Potbelly Pigs
On top of all of the animals she is taking care of, Christie Zablocki is also learning about beekeeping and how to create bee colonies. With bees dying at higher rates each year, Christie wants to help save and protect her local bees while producing fresh local honey and other products for her community.
On top of starting a farm, creating bee colonies, animal lover Christie Zablocki also devotes her time to supporting The Humane Society.
The Humane Society
Founded by a small group of animal lovers in 1954, The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is an animal protection organization dedicated to the health, safety, and wellbeing of all living creatures.
The organization focuses on a variety of animal-related cruelties and conflicts including:
- Animal Fighting
- Factory Farming
- Wildlife Abuse
- Puppy Mills
- Fur Trade
- Testing, Education, or Research
Each year The Human Society is able to provide care and services to over 100,000 animals in the United States and across the globe thanks to supporters and volunteers. Christie Zablocki encourages individuals to learn more about HSUS and to love and protect the animals they encounter in their day to day lives.
